Wrestler Biography:
Born to American parents Trevor and Diana Williams on December 1st 1996 at CFB Kingston, a Canadian military base at which her father was working in Kingston, Ontario, Maxine Williams grew up with an older brother, Peter, on various military bases around the world as her father travelled the globe due to his position in the American military. Named after her grandmother Maxine, who died shortly before she was born, she grew up preferring her middle name, Gwen.
With a strict military father both Gwen and Peter adhered strictly to the rules for their young lives. It wasn’t until Peter was 14, and Gwen was 11, that the family officially moved to Santa Barbara, California, where their mother had grown up, to settle down so the kids could experience a ‘normal’ teenage life, without having to continuously move house almost every year. Their father continued his military career, touring the world still, while Gwen and Peter grew up with their mother, but saw their father as often as possible.
Due to moving around a lot as children both siblings had trouble making friends, but both developed a serious love for music. Both siblings also developed a love for the grandeur and majesty of professional wrestling, but it was Gwen who was most hooked. By the time she was 11 Gwen could play guitar and piano to reasonable standards, while Peter was a natural guitar player. During her teenage years Gwen developed a love for drumming, something she found herself talented at, and took part in a few high school bands with friends over the years as she grew up. After seeing her older brother forced straight into college by their parents, and become a college dropout to pursue a career in music with his band, Gwen elected to take a year out after high school to ‘find herself’. During this time she quickly signed up for wrestling school at the AnteUp Academy, over the moon when she was accepted into the school.
Not long after she started training she found herself with another opportunity. After a fallout between lead singer Riley Black and drummer Percy Silva, Percy quit the band in a rage before a gig. Peter quickly recruited Gwen to fill in for the band, originally thinking it a temporary assignment, however due to a combination of her natural talent and the fact that Riley had a reputation in the local area as a demanding diva the search for a new drummer was quickly called off, with Gwen being offered the role on a ‘provisional’ basis. Now with the doors to both a potential career in music and a potential career in wrestling open Gwen is determined to do everything she can to make both dreams come true.
